EeZee Conceptz Limited has confirmed that reconciliation efforts are underway to resolve an ongoing royalty dispute with Nigerian gospel artist Mercy Chinwo. The update was made public by the label’s Managing Director, Nancy Nnadi, widely known as Coach Nancy, who also issued a formal retraction of earlier allegations made against the singer.
Chinwo had filed a lawsuit against the label’s founder, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu (popularly known as EeZee Tee), in January 2025, accusing him of diverting $345,000 in music royalties. The lawsuit followed her departure from the label two years prior, reportedly due to financial disagreements.
In the midst of the legal proceedings, Nnadi had accused Chinwo of financial impropriety—an allegation that led the singer to initiate a separate defamation suit. Chinwo demanded a public apology and the removal of defamatory posts from Nnadi’s social media accounts.
Over the weekend, Nnadi took to Instagram to retract her earlier comments. She stated that her action was based on legal counsel and the desire to support an amicable resolution.
“On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo,” Nnadi wrote. “We also pray that Almighty God perfects the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz.”
Sources close to both parties have indicated that the peace talks are being led by respected Christian leaders, though no official settlement has been announced.
The dispute, which has drawn public attention due to Chinwo’s prominence in the gospel music scene, may soon be resolved outside the courtroom if ongoing negotiations are successful.
