Davis noted that even in his final projects, Boseman remained focused on empowering others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who worked with him.
Director Ryan Coogler, who directed Boseman in Black Panther, spoke emotionally about the actor’s qualities of leadership, generosity, and mentorship. Sharing anecdotes from their time on Creed and Black Panther, Coogler recounted Boseman’s cleverness in navigating press events and his dedication to creative collaboration. “That was the Panther,” Coogler remarked with a smile, recalling Boseman’s ability to meet with him privately despite the bustling environment of a press tour.
Simone Ledward-Boseman concluded the ceremony by honoring her husband’s life and legacy. She described him as courageous, brilliant, and compassionate, emphasizing that his influence continues to resonate.
