Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has firmly ruled out any involvement in partisan politics, insisting that no amount of money could persuade him to take that path.
Oyedepo made the declaration during an impartation service at Shiloh 2025, held at the church’s Canaanland headquarters in Ota, Ogun State. He said even an offer of one billion dollars would not make him abandon what he described as his divine calling.
The cleric explained that partisan politics does not align with his life’s assignment, stressing that his focus remains on spiritual leadership rather than political engagement. Reflecting on past events, he told the congregation that he had earlier warned of looming national challenges, which, according to him, eventually materialised.
“Partisan politics is not my calling. If you give me one billion dollars to join politics, I will not, because it is completely off my course,” Oyedepo said.
He further noted that the world is facing urgent challenges that require divine intervention, describing the present times as critical. Citing biblical references, he said humanity is in need of spiritual solutions, adding that believers are being prepared as an end-time force to address both national and global issues.
Drawing parallels with biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel, Oyedepo said people of faith have a responsibility to provide leadership and solutions without necessarily occupying political offices.
