Nigerian actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, widely known as Okemesi, has made an emotional appeal for help after disclosing that prolonged illness has left him homeless and struggling to survive.

The actor spoke on Thursday, February 5, 2026, during an interview with fellow actor Tony Montana, where he detailed the challenges he has faced over the past year—challenges that have kept him away from the screen and public life.

Okemesi explained that his health issues began suddenly and worsened over time, leaving him physically weak and unable to fend for himself. According to him, he was initially taken to a hospital in Lagos, where concerned individuals helped cover his medical expenses. However, his condition reportedly deteriorated, forcing those around him to seek alternative help and contact his family.

He recounted being taken to Osogbo by his elder brother, where further interventions and prayers led to gradual improvement in his condition. The actor said he was initially unable to talk or walk but later regained mobility with support.

Despite the improvement in his health, Okemesi said his personal circumstances took a turn for the worse. He revealed that he could no longer stay with his brother due to subsequent challenges and has since been moving between temporary shelters, including church premises.

Speaking during the interview, Tony Montana expressed concern over Okemesi’s condition, noting that his current state made him almost unrecognisable to fans who once admired his work.

In his appeal, Okemesi said he is currently without stable accommodation and struggles to meet basic needs such as food. He called on fans, colleagues, and well-meaning Nigerians to assist him, particularly with securing shelter and support to rebuild his life and career.

The actor’s plea has since sparked conversations on social media, with many calling for greater support systems for entertainers facing health and financial crises.
