Popular Nollywood actress, Faithia Williams Balogun, has announced the death of her mother, a loss that occurred on the eve of her 55th birthday celebration.
The actress disclosed the development on Monday morning, revealing that her mother passed away on Sunday, just hours before her birthday party in Lagos. According to her, the tragic news was deliberately withheld from her until after the event had concluded.
Faithia, who expressed gratitude to God for life despite the painful loss, appealed to her fans and the general public to remember her and her siblings in their prayers as the family mourns.
The actress hosted her birthday celebration in Lagos on Sunday, with several prominent figures in attendance. Celebrities present at the event included Funke Akindele, Fuji musician Pasuma, Kazim Adeoti, Wumi Ajiboye, MC Oluomo, among others.
