Fresh details have emerged confirming that Abubakar Yakubu, the newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), was involved in a fatal road accident in Surulere, Lagos.
Yakubu, who secured a narrow victory over fellow contender Rita Daniels with 116 votes to 113 in the recent AGN election, was reportedly behind the wheel when the crash occurred.
According to Reports, the collision resulted in the death of one individual. Security operatives subsequently detained Yakubu at the Barracks Police Station in Surulere, where detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
