Authorities have identified American singer d4vd as a suspect after the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was discovered in the trunk of his Tesla at an impound lot in Hollywood Hills.
The teenager, who was reported missing in 2024 from Lake Elsinore, California, was found a day after her birthday on September 8, sparking an ongoing investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). No arrests have been made so far.
The singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has reportedly been uncooperative during the probe, according to LAPD sources cited by NBC. In September, investigators served a search warrant at a Hollywood Hills residence where d4vd had been staying, recovering several items of evidence and pursuing multiple leads.
Officers were alerted to the impounded Tesla after reports of a foul odor. Neighbors told authorities the car had been abandoned in the area for roughly a month before the discovery.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later confirmed the identity of the girl, listing her date of death as September 8. The cause and manner of her death remain under investigation, with LAPD Captain Scot M. Williams noting that she had likely been deceased for several weeks prior to being found.
