Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ali Bukar Dalori, on Monday led his first National Working Committee (NWC) meeting following the resignation of former party leader and ex-Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

The closed-door meeting, which took place at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, marks the party’s first high-level engagement since the leadership shakeup. Dalori, who previously held the position of Deputy National Chairman (North), stepped in as interim party leader after Ganduje officially stepped down from the helm last week.

Sources close to the party leadership revealed that Monday’s meeting focused on assessing recent developments within the APC and establishing a unified response as the party navigates its next phase.

Also present at the session were key party figures, including National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru, National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, and several other top NWC members.

Though the APC has maintained public calm over Ganduje’s resignation, insiders say party stakeholders are keen on stabilizing internal dynamics and reaffirming unity as the 2027 election cycle looms on the horizon.

Dalori’s emergence as acting chairman is expected to shape the party’s direction in the coming months as consultations intensify ahead of a possible leadership convention.
