Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Faith Adewale, has been disqualified from the show following a heated altercation with fellow contestant, Sultana. The announcement was made by Biggie during an emergency meeting with the housemates in the main lounge, where Faith was immediately asked to leave the house.
The confrontation began during a group task when Sultana accused Faith of being controlling and trying to dominate the team’s project despite the assignment having little to do with his medical background.
“You always want to lead even when it’s not your field. I can’t work with someone so controlling,” Sultana said in frustration before the situation escalated.
The disagreement turned physical when Faith pulled a basket containing the group’s materials. In the process, Sultana fell and sustained minor injuries, later complaining that her hand was hurt. Housemate Kaybobo intervened briefly and took the basket from Faith, but the tension in the house remained high.
“I can’t continue in the same group with him after this,” Sultana declared, visibly shaken by the incident.
Biggie later confirmed that Faith’s behavior violated the rules of the competition, which maintain a zero-tolerance policy for violence. The BBNaija rule book, particularly Article 18, subsection one, explicitly bans all forms of aggression, intimidation, bullying, provocation, or victimisation. Big Brother retains the right to impose sanctions ranging from strikes to outright disqualification.
Faith’s disqualification adds his name to the list of housemates who have faced similar penalties in the show’s history. In 2019, Tacha was expelled after a clash with Mercy in which she pushed, shoved, and pulled her rival’s hair. Mercy, however, received two strikes for provocation after flicking her hair at Tacha and failing to de-escalate the fight. In 2020, Erica was sent packing for repeated violations, including insulting housemates, blocking the lounge from the Deputy Head of House, peeping through windows, and provoking fellow contestants despite earlier warnings. Her cumulative strikes led to her disqualification on eviction night.
The 2022 edition saw former Miss Nigeria, Beauty Tukura, exit just two weeks into the “Level Up” season after destroying property and physically attacking Groovy. She had already been issued a strike for assaulting Ilebaye, and Big Brother ruled that her repeated misconduct was unacceptable. Other housemates who have previously been disqualified include Kemen Ekerete, Khloe Abiri, and Kelvin “K-Brule” Brouillete, all penalised for violent or rule-breaking behavior.
Faith’s removal has already triggered mixed reactions among viewers, with fans debating whether the punishment was fair or excessive. However, the show’s management has made it clear over the years that while drama fuels BBNaija’s entertainment value, physical violence remains a boundary no housemate is allowed to cross.
