Winning Big Brother Naija Season 10 catapulted Imisi into stardom but behind the glitz and glamour, the reality TV sensation admits that adjusting to her new life has been far from easy.
In a candid conversation during a recent public appearance, Imisi revealed that fame has brought along unexpected challenges especially the constant demand to maintain a “camera-ready” look. She confessed that while many fans see her as effortlessly glamorous, the truth is that she has always preferred simplicity and natural beauty.
“Honestly, I’m not a makeup person,” she said with a laugh. “Having to wear it almost every time I go out feels strange to me. I don’t like anything on my face, and I’m not even comfortable with hair on my body. But fame changes how people see you, and you have to adapt to that image.”
Imisi added that the shift from private life to public life has forced her to redefine her personal comfort. While she believes she looks good without makeup, the expectations that come with being in the limelight mean she must now keep her hair, nails, and overall appearance constantly in check.
“Sometimes it feels like you’re maintaining a version of yourself that the public wants to see not necessarily who you are inside,” she reflected.
