Big Brother Naija is set to return for its milestone 10th season, with organisers confirming a record-breaking ₦150 million grand prize and a dynamic two-night premiere scheduled for July 26 and 27.

Speaking during a press conference in Lagos, Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of General Entertainment at MultiChoice, announced that the new season will span 10 weeks of intense drama, strategic gameplay, and cultural relevance. The grand finale is expected to air on October 5.

According to Tejumola, the upcoming edition represents more than just a continuation of the popular reality show, it’s a celebration of its evolution into a cultural movement. “Today, we are not just announcing another season; we are celebrating a legacy,” she said. “With the biggest prize in the show’s history and a new theme set to be revealed during the premiere, BBNaija Season 10 is poised to deliver fresh excitement.”

Longtime host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return to anchor the show, which has grown into one of the continent’s most influential entertainment properties. Tejumola highlighted BBNaija’s role in shaping Nigeria’s creative industry, providing a platform for new talent, content creators, and digital influencers.

Auditions for this season were held both online and in-person. Registration ran from May 3 to 7, with shortlisted candidates invited to physical auditions in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu between May 16 and 18. Organisers say the screening process was designed to select the most engaging and dynamic personalities from across the country.

Tejumola described BBNaija as a “living, breathing cultural force” that continues to set benchmarks for homegrown entertainment. “This 10th season builds on the legacy of previous editions, pushing boundaries in ambition, creativity and impact,” she added.

As anticipation builds, viewers across the country are gearing up for what could be Big Brother Naija’s most transformative season yet.
