Chelsea have set their sights on Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, who could be on the move this summer following his exclusion from the Red Devils’ pre-season squad.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed that Garnacho is keen to remain in the Premier League, and Chelsea are carefully watching his situation as they consider options to strengthen their attack.

Although no formal discussions have taken place between Manchester United and Chelsea, Garnacho is reportedly on the Blues’ shortlist. However, the club’s current priority is to push forward in negotiations for Dutch star Xavi Simons.

Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford looks increasingly uncertain, with manager Ruben Amorim omitting him—alongside Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia—from United’s pre-season tour. The decision is seen as a signal that the club is open to letting him leave, either on loan or permanently.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are closing in on a major attacking reinforcement, as the Gunners move to complete the signing of Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP.

Final details of the transfer are currently being reviewed by legal teams from both clubs, with all documentation undergoing final checks. The agreement includes €10 million in add-ons, which could elevate the total fee significantly.

Romano confirmed that the player’s medical is scheduled to follow immediately after paperwork is settled, noting that while it won’t take place on Wednesday, there are no delays or complications.

“The verbal agreement is fully reached — it’s only a matter of time now,” Romano stated.

The Premier League’s transfer market continues to heat up, with both Chelsea and Arsenal making bold moves to reshape their squads ahead of the new season.
