The Dangote Refinery has implemented a significant reduction in its ex-depot petrol price as it moves to strengthen its competitive position against the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and other fuel marketers across the country.
According to figures published on Petroleumpriceng and reviewed on Friday morning, the refinery slashed its ex-depot price to N699 per litre, down from N828. The adjustment reflects a N129 decrease, amounting to a 15.58% reduction.
This latest review is one of nearly 20 price adjustments made by the refinery this year and comes just days before the Christmas and New Year festivities.
The price cut also follows recent reductions announced by the NNPCL and several filling stations, which have lowered their pump prices twice in the last three weeks. In Abuja, retail prices currently range between N915 and N937 per litre.
