Gospel music minister Dunsin Oyekan has voiced strong concerns over the escalating wave of violent attacks across the country, particularly those targeting Christian communities.
His reaction comes after terrorists invaded a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) assembly in Kwara State on Tuesday evening, killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the resident pastor. The attack occurred just hours after eight people were reportedly murdered by suspected Boko Haram fighters in Bama, Borno State, on Monday night.
Oyekan, in a post shared on Instagram, described the latest incident as “cruel” and lamented the frequency of such assaults. He questioned the government’s ability to address the worsening security crisis and protect vulnerable citizens.
The gospel minister also called for divine judgment on the perpetrators, stating that Psalm 82:1–8 formed his prayer for the season. Expressing frustration, he added, “These killings are too much, senseless, and cruel… and we have a government abi?”
