The search for FRSC officer Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi and her daughter, Sewa, ended in tragedy after their bodies were reportedly discovered in the residence of a suspected herbalist in Osun State.

The 38-year-old officer and her child went missing on November 2, prompting a report at the Kemta Police Division three days later. Their sudden disappearance sparked a coordinated search by law enforcement and local authorities.

According to police sources, the herbalist and his wife have been taken into custody while investigations continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Officials are conducting forensic examinations to confirm identities and establish the cause of death.

The discovery has sent shockwaves through the FRSC community and residents of Abeokuta, where the officer lived, as colleagues and neighbors mourn the loss. Authorities have vowed to pursue justice and uncover all parties involved in the incident.

The case has raised serious concerns about the safety of vulnerable individuals and the prevalence of ritualistic or criminal practices in some communities. Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and provide any information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
