Popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has revealed that Nollywood actress Funke Akindele played a key role in helping him during his time in prison following his arrest in Lagos.
Peller was arrested in December 2025 after he was involved in an alleged deliberate car accident in Lagos State. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) subsequently ordered his arrest and prosecution over allegations of reckless driving.
Speaking at the premiere of the movie Love Notes on Saturday, Peller publicly acknowledged Akindele’s intervention while exchanging pleasantries with the actress at the event.
According to the content creator, Akindele offered support that contributed to his release from custody. Expressing gratitude, he said she stood by him during a difficult period in his life.
“She was the one who helped me when I was in prison. She was the one who helped my life,” Peller said.
The revelation has since sparked reactions online, with fans praising the actress for her alleged compassion and support for the embattled TikToker.
