Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi, has approved the appointment of 82 new aides as part of efforts to enhance the effectiveness of his administration.
The appointments comprise 16 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and 66 Special Assistants (SAs), according to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Malam Bala Ibrahim.
The statement noted that the approval was communicated through the Public Relations Officer in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, adding that the new appointments were made to support governance across critical sectors of the state.
According to the SSG, the selection process was guided by merit, competence, and personal integrity, with the expectation that the appointees would contribute meaningfully to the delivery of government policies and programmes.
While congratulating the newly appointed aides, Ibrahim urged them to demonstrate commitment, diligence, and a strong sense of responsibility in the discharge of their duties, stressing the need for teamwork in advancing the development agenda of the Namadi-led administration.
The statement added that all appointments take immediate effect.
