Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo is in high spirits as her family marks a special moment: her grandson, Rakim Ayomide Mkambala, has officially received his Canadian passport just weeks after his birth.
Rakim, the son of actress Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, was born in Canada on August 24, 2025. His arrival had already sparked excitement after the couple revealed their pregnancy in July with a lavish gender reveal party.
The joyful update was shared on Instagram by Iyabo Ojo on Saturday. In one video, she displayed tiny red baby clothes adorned with Canadian symbols next to a passport. In another clip, she gushed with excitement: “Grandma is overjoyed because our cutest, finest star boy, Prince Rakim Ayomide Mkambala, has collected his Canadian passport. Tanzania, are you ready? Asante!”
Since his birth, baby Rakim has become a social media sensation. His Instagram page, @rakeem_mk—managed by his parents—attracted over 100,000 followers within hours of its launch. A celebratory video about his Canadian citizenship was also shared on the account, drawing fans from both Nigeria and Tanzania.
The milestone has been met with overwhelming love from admirers and fellow celebrities, who flooded social media with congratulatory messages, praising the little one’s international roots that now tie him to Nigeria, Tanzania, and Canada.
