Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has officially declared herself the President General of the ‘Single Mothers’ Association’, celebrating the resilience and achievements of single mothers in Nigeria.
The announcement was made during actress Lola Alao’s birthday celebration and has since gone viral on social media. In a video of the event, Iyabo stated, “Gone are the days that being a single mother was a stigma.”
She praised single mothers for raising successful children and highlighted their growing societal influence. “Now, men are chasing and even begging us single mothers because of our experience. If a man leaves you, another will accept you,” she said.
Iyabo concluded the declaration by confirming her new role: “I’m now the President General of the Single Mothers Association.”
