Supporters of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, have staged a street rally in Rivers State, chanting slogans in support of the former governor.

A video that circulated widely on social media on Sunday showed dozens of men marching through parts of the state while chanting, “No Wike, no Rivers State,” in an apparent display of loyalty to the influential political figure.

The demonstrators described Wike as their leader, with the chant suggesting his continued political relevance and influence in Rivers State despite his move to the federal cabinet.

The exact location and timing of the march could not be independently verified as of the time of filing this report. Authorities have also not issued an official statement regarding the demonstration.

Wike, who served as Rivers State governor for eight years before his appointment as FCT minister, remains a dominant political force in the state, with his role in ongoing political alignments continuing to generate public debate.
