Barcelona have completed the signing of England international Marcus Rashford on a season-long loan from Manchester United, with an option to make the deal permanent in 2026. The 26-year-old forward landed in Spain on Sunday and has now officially signed with the Catalan giants.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, all formalities and paperwork have been finalized between both clubs, making Rashford’s move to Camp Nou official. The agreement includes a €30 million buy option that Barcelona can activate in June 2026 if they choose to keep the player beyond the loan spell.

As part of the deal, Barcelona will pay Rashford’s full gross salary of €14 million per year, which amounts to €7 million net. The former Manchester United star also agreed to take a 15% pay cut to facilitate the move, showing his willingness to restart his career under new management in La Liga.

Rashford struggled for game time under Manchester United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, during the 2024/2025 campaign and was temporarily sent on loan to Aston Villa. His switch to Barcelona under head coach Hansi Flick now presents a fresh opportunity to rediscover form at the highest level.

Barcelona’s move for Rashford signals their continued push to reinforce the squad with experienced talent as they aim for domestic and European success in the upcoming season.
