The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspects in separate operations linked to alleged possession of human parts and armed robbery.
The command’s spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday, noting that the suspects were apprehended in Oyo and Ibadan following credible intelligence.
According to the police, a 20-year-old suspect, Garuba Aminu, was arrested on February 20, 2026, at about 8:00 a.m. in the Commercial Oroki area of Oyo. He was reportedly disguised as a scavenger when residents became suspicious of his movements and alerted security operatives.
A joint patrol team swiftly responded to the scene, where an angry mob had gathered. The suspect was rescued and taken into custody. He has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
In a separate operation, two other suspects — Elijah Teejay, 21, and Ottu Emmanuel, 33 — were arrested along the Elebu-Oja axis off Alao-Akala Expressway in Ibadan. Police said the arrest followed reports of robbery incidents in the area.
Items recovered from the suspects included two toy pistols and some illicit drugs, which have been secured as exhibits.
The police added that the suspects allegedly confessed to involvement in multiple robbery incidents within and outside Oyo State. Investigations are ongoing.
