The Oyo State Government has announced that thousands of young people across the state will have the opportunity to attend Davido’s highly anticipated ‘5ive Tour’ concert in Ibadan for free. The initiative, shared on the state’s official X account, is part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s broader efforts to empower youth and support the creative economy.

According to the announcement, ticket distribution will start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, at the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, located within the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Ibadan. Officials emphasized that tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, encouraging eager fans to arrive early to secure their spots.

Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, recently revealed the Nigerian leg of his 5ive Tour. The tour kicked off in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on October 26, continued to Yola, Adamawa, on October 29, and Enugu on November 1, before stopping in Ibadan on November 9 and Lagos on December 25.

Having recently concluded his North American tour, the award-winning singer expressed excitement about performing in his home country, describing the Nigerian edition of the tour as particularly special.

The Ibadan concert is being organized in partnership with the Oyo State Government through the Agency for Youth Development, highlighting the state’s commitment to making cultural and entertainment experiences accessible to its youth population.
