Amara, the second daughter of Grace Nation Bible Ministry founder, Pastor Chris Okafor, is set to press charges against her father over an alleged assault, according to actress Doris Ogala.
The claim comes amid an ongoing public dispute between Ogala and the cleric. In December, the actress accused Okafor of failing to fulfil a marriage promise after what she described as an eight-year intimate relationship. She also made additional allegations against him, including claims of inappropriate relationships with married church members.
Okafor subsequently had Ogala arrested following the accusations. After regaining her freedom, the actress alleged that she rejected a purported $10,000 settlement offer following a private meeting with the cleric at a police station.
In a fresh post shared on her Instagram page on Friday, Ogala claimed that Amara is now prepared to pursue legal action against her father over alleged physical abuse. She shared videos purportedly showing the aftermath of the incident and alleged that the confrontation stemmed from Amara challenging the cleric over certain activities at home.
Ogala, who said she maintains a close relationship with Amara, further accused the pastor of physically assaulting his daughter. She described the incident as serious and alleged that it amounted to attempted murder.
Pastor Chris Okafor has not publicly responded to the latest allegations as of the time of filing this report.
The matter is expected to generate further reactions as developments unfold.
