Popular TikTok personality Peller has issued a public apology following his arrest and detention by the Lagos State Police Command over an incident involving dangerous driving.
In a video that has since circulated widely on social media, the content creator expressed remorse for his actions and appealed to Nigerians for forgiveness, promising that such conduct would not be repeated.
“I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m sorry. I will never do that again,” he said, adding that he is currently receiving medical attention and will return online after completing his treatment.
The incident is believed to be linked to recent personal challenges faced by the influencer, including his breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis. Jarvis had earlier confirmed the end of their relationship, citing Peller’s struggles with emotional control as a key reason for her decision.
Confirming the arrest, the Lagos State Police Command stated that Peller was taken into custody after his actions were considered a serious threat to public safety. Police sources said the incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when he was allegedly driving recklessly while livestreaming on social media, an act that reportedly led to a traffic accident along the Lekki–Epe Expressway.
Authorities disclosed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation, adding that the influencer will be charged to court upon the conclusion of inquiries.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, cautioned social media influencers and content creators against promoting or engaging in reckless behaviour online, stressing that such actions would be met with strict legal consequences.
