Emerging music talent Purp has been named the winner of Season 10 of Nigerian Idol, following an intense finale that aired live on Sunday.
After weeks of high-level performances and public voting, Purp secured the top spot, defeating fellow finalist Raymu in a closely watched final round.
The grand finale, hosted by veteran media personality IK Osakioduwa, featured a blend of performances, guest appearances, and reflections from the judges, capping off a highly competitive season.
The judging panel comprising Omawumi, Ric Hassani, and Iyanya, with 9ice appearing as a special guest commended both finalists for their growth, artistry, and perseverance throughout the show.
As the winner, Purp receives a prize package that includes ₦30 million in cash, a brand-new SUV, a recording contract, and a DStv Explora decoder with a one-year premium subscription.
In his reaction to the victory, Purp described the moment as “surreal,” expressing gratitude to fans who supported her throughout the journey.
“This is just the beginning,” she said. “I can’t wait to share more music with the world.”
