Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has undergone a drug test, nearly three months after allegations of substance abuse emerged amid her highly publicised marital dispute with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

The actress shared a video on her Instagram page on Tuesday showing her at a medical facility, where she announced she was about to carry out the test. “Hi guys, I’m here at the hospital. I’m about to run my drug test,” she said in the clip.

The development follows a series of allegations and counter-allegations that began in October 2025, when Daniels accused Nwoko of domestic violence and emotional abuse. The senator denied the claims and, in turn, accused the actress of substance abuse, stating that he was in possession of her medical records.

The controversy deepened when Daniels’ co-wife, Laila Charani, also alleged that the actress had introduced her to drugs, further fuelling public debate around the issue.

In the heat of the fallout, an alleged medical report purportedly from Serenity Royale Hospital surfaced online, claiming Daniels had toxic levels of substances including marijuana, morphine, opiates, cocaine and alcohol in her system. The hospital, however, denied responsibility for the leaked document, insisting it did not authorise or release any such report and urged the public to disregard it.

Daniels’ decision to submit to a drug test appears to be the latest move in addressing the allegations that have dominated discussions around her personal life in recent months
