Nigerian singer Oludipe David, professionally known as Spyro, says his financial future is well protected regardless of whether he continues to make music. The artist disclosed that a significant portion of his income comes from corporate engagements rather than mainstream entertainment shows.
Speaking on the Adesope Live show, the Who Is Your Guy hitmaker explained that his genre and delivery have made him a favourite among corporate organisations and high-net-worth individuals. According to him, this niche has sustained his earnings far more than most people realise.
Spyro noted that his modest lifestyle often leads the public to underestimate his financial strength, but he remains “comfortable” even outside the conventional music circuit.
“If I stop making music today, I’m made. People don’t really know because I’m not a bragging type,” he said.
He added that he is frequently invited to perform at exclusive year-end events hosted by major banks and prominent figures, including businessman Tony Elumelu. The singer said he rarely features at regular industry concerts, choosing instead to focus on corporate shows that align with his brand.
