Nigeria’s Super Falcons have landed in Rabat, Morocco, as anticipation builds ahead of the much-anticipated final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where they’ll take on hosts, the Atlas Lionesses.

The nine-time African champions, led by head coach Justine Madugu, are focused and ready for battle after their semi-final triumph over South Africa’s Banyana Banyana. The hard-fought 2-1 victory on Tuesday confirmed Nigeria’s place in Friday’s final at the iconic Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

Shortly after arriving, the team scheduled their first training session at the FUS Academie, with the opening 15 minutes accessible to the media before the rest of the practice continues behind closed doors. On Friday, the squad will hold a final private session at the same venue to fine-tune strategies ahead of the high-stakes encounter.

Morocco, meanwhile, secured their own spot in the final after edging out Ghana’s Black Queens 4-2 in a tense penalty shootout, following a closely contested semi-final clash.

As the clock ticks down to kickoff, fans across the continent are eagerly awaiting the clash of two powerhouses—Nigeria chasing a historic 10th title, and Morocco eyeing their first-ever WAFCON crown on home soil.
