Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has denied allegations linking her to the alleged theft of $40,000, describing the claims as false and politically motivated amid her ongoing marital dispute with Senator Ned Nwoko.

Speaking during a live broadcast on Tuesday, the actress claimed that an arrest warrant had been issued against her and some members of her family over the allegation. Regina alleged that the accusations were instigated by her estranged husband.

“It’s confirmed, it’s true, and I’ve verified that it’s Ned. There is a warrant on everyone, including myself,” she said during the broadcast.

Regina strongly refuted the theft claim, questioning its credibility and logic. According to her, the allegation that $40,000 was stolen from Senator Nwoko’s residence does not add up, as she insisted that the lawmaker does not keep large sums of cash in his home.

“He is claiming that we stole $40,000 from his house, yet he doesn’t even keep money at home. So how could we have stolen $40,000?” she asked.

The development comes amid heightened tension surrounding the actress’s reported marital crisis with the billionaire politician, which has played out publicly in recent weeks. Neither Senator Nwoko nor law enforcement authorities have officially responded to Regina’s claims as of the time of filing this report.
