A U.S. woman who accused former UFC champion Conor McGregor of s£xual assault at a 2023 NBA game has voluntarily withdrawn her lawsuit against the Irish mixed martial arts star.
McGregor, 37, one of the UFC’s most prominent fighters, had denied the allegations of sexual battery related to the Miami Heat’s NBA Finals Game 4 clash with the Denver Nuggets in June 2023. At the time, he attended the game as part of a sponsorship deal promoting a pain-relief spray brand.
According to Mail Online, the woman — initially described in court filings as a 49-year-old Wall Street executive — had her attorneys file a notice of voluntary dismissal at a Florida court on Tuesday.
The original lawsuit claimed that McGregor encountered the woman in the arena’s VIP section after the game and that an associate later led her to a men’s restroom, where McGregor allegedly assaulted her in a toilet stall.
This is not the first time McGregor has faced s£xual assault allegations. Last year in Ireland, he was found liable in a separate case and ordered to pay approximately $250,000 in damages to a woman who accused him of rape.
Additionally, McGregor was recently handed an 18-month suspension after missing three drug tests within a year. The ban, backdated to September 2024, means he will be eligible to fight again by March 2025, potentially in a UFC event scheduled for June 14 at the White House, coinciding with U.S. President Donald Trump’s birthday.
