Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has publicly criticised Queen Dammy for allegedly denying their relationship during a recent TikTok live session, reigniting tensions between the pair months after their widely publicised split.
The development comes after reports that the duo parted ways in December 2024 following a heated exchange on social media. At the height of their fallout, Portable made controversial remarks about Ibadan, the Oyo State capital where Queen Dammy hails from. His comments sparked backlash from some indigenes, with reports that he was subsequently barred from performing in the city.
The controversy appeared to subside in January 2025, with little heard about the pair until this week. During a TikTok live session with popular streamer Salo, Queen Dammy reportedly stated that Portable was no longer part of her life while discussing her search for love.
Responding in a video posted on social media, Portable alleged that the two had reconciled privately after she apologised, adding that they had agreed to keep their renewed relationship off social platforms. He expressed disappointment over her public denial, claiming she currently resides in an apartment he rented for her.
In the video, the singer accused Queen Dammy of misrepresenting their relationship status and insisted they were still together. He further alleged that they had been together shortly before her live broadcast.
The renewed exchange has once again drawn public attention to the pair’s turbulent relationship, which has frequently played out on social media, attracting widespread reactions from fans and critics alike.
