Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has explained his decision not to financially back up-and-coming artistes, describing such investments as too risky.
In an appearance on the Adesope Live show, Zlatan emphasized that his music career is driven by business considerations and the need for financial stability. “I’d rather invest in a house than put money into artistes whose success I cannot guarantee,” he said.
Reflecting on his early career, Zlatan revealed that he faced pressure and anxiety due to a lack of balance, reinforcing that his primary goal in music is to achieve financial security and responsibility.
Despite avoiding monetary investments, Zlatan remains open to collaborations with emerging talents, noting that he received similar support when he was starting in the industry.
