Renowned Nigerian music video director, ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has opened up about the staggering cost of his medical treatment, revealing that his hospital bills in just six months could have purchased luxury cars worth hundreds of millions of naira.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, the award-winning filmmaker reflected on the financial burden of staying alive, joking that the amount he has spent would easily buy two Mercedes-Benz GLE SUVs and a Mercedes-Benz C300.

“Six months of medical bills equals 2 GLEs and one C300. Health is wealth for real,” Omori wrote, underscoring the true value of good health over material possessions.

The revelation comes nearly a year after the 29-year-old director underwent a life-saving kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos. The surgery was made possible by his only brother, who selflessly donated one of his kidneys.

Omori’s journey has since sparked conversations online about the high cost of healthcare in Nigeria and the importance of prioritizing one’s well-being. For him, the experience has been a stark reminder that even fame and success cannot replace good health.
