Dangote Sugar Plc has named Thabo Mabe, a South African executive, as its new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2025.

The announcement comes after the sudden resignation of Ravindra Singhvi, an Indian national, which took effect on November 3, 2025. The company did not provide a reason for Singhvi’s departure.

The leadership change was disclosed to shareholders on Tuesday in a notice issued in compliance with Nigerian Exchange Limited regulations.

In the statement, Mrs Temitope Hassan, Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, highlighted Singhvi’s contributions, noting that he “played a key role in the growth and transformation of the company and leaves behind a record of operational excellence.”

Singhvi joined the board on May 22, 2020, and his tenure was marked by strategic initiatives that helped shape the company’s operational performance.
