Superintendent Route Command Afolabi Odunsi-Oyewole has been officially named the new Public Education Officer for the Ogun State Sector of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Sector Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin confirmed on Tuesday.
The appointment follows the passing of Florence Okpe, the former Public Education Officer, who died on October 28, 2025, after a prolonged illness. Odunsi-Oyewole has been tasked with continuing her work in public education and road safety advocacy across the state.
According to an FRSC statement, Odunsi-Oyewole hails from Lagos State and holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Psychology. The statement highlighted his extensive experience, noting that he has served in various capacities within FRSC formations and is recognized as a seasoned officer.
Sector Commander Fasakin reiterated the agency’s commitment to protecting road users and called on the public to cooperate fully with the newly appointed spokesperson, supporting his efforts to promote safer roads throughout Ogun State.
