Nigerian billionaire businessman and senator, Ned Nwoko, is reportedly linked to the arrest of Ann, a close friend of his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, over allegations of theft and conspiracy.

Ann was said to have been arrested on Monday by officers from the Ajah Police Division in Lagos State. The arrest reportedly followed a court order authorising her detention on allegations bordering on conspiracy, assault, and theft.

The incident came to public attention after Sammy, Regina Daniels’ elder brother, shared a video of the arrest on Instagram. In the post, Sammy claimed that the police officers arrived with legal documents to detain Ann, an action he strongly questioned.

According to him, Ann has never visited Senator Nwoko’s residence, making the allegations against her questionable. He also expressed frustration over what he described as a misuse of legal and security institutions.

“There was no time Ann was ever at Ned’s house. So how is there a court order to detain her for conspiracy and theft? Nigeria has failed us,” he wrote.

The development has further fueled public debate surrounding the ongoing rift between Regina Daniels and the senator. Reports indicate that the arrest of individuals linked to the actress began about two months ago, shortly after Regina publicly accused Nwoko of abuse and domestic violence—claims that have continued to generate widespread reactions online.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Senator Ned Nwoko nor the Lagos State Police Command has issued an official statement clarifying the circumstances surrounding Ann’s arrest.
