Aliko Dangote has said plans to expand the Dangote Refinery to 1.4 million barrels per day could create up to 95,000 jobs.
The announcement highlights a potential major boost for Nigeria’s industrial sector. The refinery, located in Lagos, is already one of Africa’s largest oil processing facilities.
Dangote made the remarks while outlining future expansion plans. However, timelines and specific phases of the project were not immediately disclosed.
The proposed expansion would significantly increase the refinery’s capacity. It could position Nigeria as a stronger player in global petroleum refining.
