Young politician cites party unity as reason for dramatic withdrawal from federal constituency contest.

Thirty-year-old APC aspirant Mahmud Sadis Buba has officially withdrawn from the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency House of Representatives race in Kaduna State.

Buba announced his withdrawal amid ongoing political calculations within the ruling party, stating that the decision was taken in the interest of party unity and stability ahead of the elections.

The move has triggered reactions among supporters and political observers, many of whom had viewed the young aspirant as one of the emerging faces of youth participation in Nigerian politics.

Political insiders say the withdrawal may be connected to internal negotiations and strategic alignments within the APC as party stakeholders attempt to avoid division ahead of the general elections.

Despite stepping down, Buba reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and urged his supporters to remain committed to the party’s broader political goals in Kaduna State.
