Political commentator Ingawa says Rabiu Kwankwaso is facing unusual resistance while trying to build northern acceptance for Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
A northern political commentator, Ingawa, has claimed that former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso is encountering significant difficulty in promoting former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi to northern voters.
In a post shared on X, Ingawa argued that the task represents one of the most challenging political assignments Kwankwaso has faced in his career.
According to him, the former Kano governor has never previously confronted the level of resistance he is now experiencing while attempting to market Obi in the North.
Ingawa further maintained that Kwankwaso’s political strength remains largely concentrated in Kano State and suggested that the 2027 election cycle could become an important test of that influence.
He also predicted that the emerging political platform associated with the alliance may struggle to replicate the electoral performance achieved by the New Nigeria Peoples Party during the 2023 elections.
The remarks reflect ongoing conversations around coalition politics and political realignments ahead of the next general election, though they remain the personal assessment of the commentator.
