Fresh concerns over insecurity in Oyo State emerged on Wednesday following the reported abduction of the younger sister of former Minister of Power and Oyo APC governorship aspirant, Adebayo Adelabu, alongside her twin sons in Ibadan.
According to reports, the victims were attacked by armed men in the Challenge/Elewura area of Ibadan while travelling with the children. The gunmen reportedly forced them into captivity and fled the scene before security operatives could intervene.
The incident has drawn significant attention because it comes amid growing anxiety over kidnapping cases in parts of Oyo State, where residents have repeatedly called for stronger security measures.
Police authorities have confirmed that investigations are underway, while efforts to secure the safe release of the victims continue.
