An ADA official has filed a suit challenging the registration status of the Nigerian Democratic Congress.
The protem Director of Organisation of the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), Ahidjo Karlahi, has filed a suit seeking the deregistration of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Karlahi, in the legal action, challenged the registration of the NDC and asked the court to nullify its recognition by the electoral commission.
The case introduces a fresh legal dimension to ongoing political realignments and party registration disputes within Nigeria’s political space.
The matter is expected to test regulatory and constitutional interpretations surrounding the registration and recognition of political parties by INEC.
