The British High Commission in Abuja has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election in Ekiti State while drawing attention to issues observed during the governorship poll.
The mission noted concerns relating to vote trading, technical challenges involving the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), and accessibility issues affecting persons with disabilities.
While acknowledging the outcome of the election, the High Commission stressed the importance of continued efforts to strengthen electoral processes and public confidence in democratic institutions.
The observations form part of broader discussions around election administration and voter experience during the poll.
Governor Oyebanji was declared winner of the governorship election conducted on Saturday.
