Former Labour Party presidential candidate and Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) leader Peter Obi has urged Nigerians to rise against worsening hunger and poverty, declaring that the country’s economic hardship has reached a point where citizens must collectively say “enough is enough.”
Obi made the remarks while speaking at a public event in Ebonyi State, where he lamented the rising cost of living, widespread insecurity and deepening poverty across the country. He argued that the country’s current trajectory was unsustainable and called on Nigerians to demand accountable leadership.

According to Obi, economic hardship has become the greatest challenge confronting ordinary Nigerians, insisting that the suffering being experienced across the country goes beyond politics.
He said millions of Nigerians were struggling daily to feed their families and urged citizens to focus on addressing poverty and insecurity rather than political distractions.
