Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has threatened to resign from the All Progressives Congress if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu disrespects the opposition or Catholic bishops.
Kalu made the declaration amid a growing disagreement between sections of the Catholic leadership and the Presidency over criticism of the government’s handling of Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.

The former governor said Catholic bishops should be treated with respect and their concerns about the condition of the country should not be dismissed.
