“The Labour Party refuses to accept the tribunal’s ruling and plans to unveil their next course of action.”

“The Labour Party has refused to accept the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which dismissed their petitions against President Tinubu.

The tribunal described the petition as ‘clearly based on rhetoric’ and noted that the petitioners failed to provide substantiating evidence for their claims.

In a statement, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Obiora Ifoh, expressed the party’s dismay and confusion over the ruling, asserting that it did not align with the law and the people’s desires. Ifoh stated that the party would persist until ‘the people’s will prevails’ and would consult with their lawyers after obtaining the Certified True Copy of the judgment to determine their next steps.

This rejection by the Labour Party marks the latest development in an ongoing political feud between Tinubu and the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi. Obi has repeatedly accused Tinubu of electoral misconduct and vowed to contest the election results in court.

The outcome of this legal battle is poised to have a significant impact on Nigeria’s political landscape.”
