Social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has said Femi Gbajabiamila, President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, is “100% innocent” of allegations that he received a ₦400 million bribe in the ongoing PFIPC controversy. VDM argued that the bribery claim has not been substantiated while also raising separate allegations that he said should be independently investigated.
Popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), defending Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila against bribery allegations.
According to VDM, there is currently no evidence proving claims that Gbajabiamila received a ₦400 million bribe, insisting that the allegation should not be treated as established fact.
In a video shared online, VDM maintained that Gbajabiamila should be presumed innocent regarding the specific ₦400 million allegation.
However, he also called for transparency regarding other issues linked to the broader PFIPC controversy, arguing that all claims should be independently investigated through due process.
The PFIPC controversy centres on allegations involving a purported government agency that the Presidency has described as fictitious.
President Tinubu has directed the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate the matter, while the Presidency has consistently denied any wrongdoing by Gbajabiamila.
No official investigation has concluded that Gbajabiamila received the alleged ₦400 million bribe.
Authorities have maintained that investigations remain ongoing, and the outcome of those inquiries is expected to clarify the various allegations surrounding the PFIPC controversy.
VDM’s intervention adds another voice to the ongoing public debate over the PFIPC saga. While he dismissed the specific bribery allegation against Gbajabiamila as unproven, he urged authorities to ensure that all aspects of the controversy are transparently investigated before any conclusions are reached.
