Bala Jibrin Says He Will Not Back Tinubu Or Bauchi APC Candidate
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Captain Mohammed Bala Jibrin, has resigned from the ruling party and declared that he will not support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu or the APC’s Bauchi State governorship candidate in the 2027 general elections.
Jibrin, a retired pilot and aeronautical engineer, announced his resignation in a letter dated August 31, 2026.
Resignation Letter Sent To Ward Chairman
The resignation letter was addressed to the APC chairman of Nassarawa/Bakin Kasuwan Ward in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Jibrin also declared that he would not support Mohammad Abdullahi Abubakar, the party’s candidate for governor of Bauchi State, according to reports on his resignation.
