Odumeje questioned the influence of political office holders over Nigeria’s political future, arguing that the country belongs to its citizens rather than individual politicians or their families.
The cleric made the remarks while discussing the 2027 election and the state of the country under the Tinubu administration.

Odumeje also criticised the Federal Government over borrowing and questioned how public funds have been used.
