Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken another swipe at the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
Davido reacted after former Osun State Governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, welcomed senior APC leaders who arrived in Osogbo for the party’s mega rally.
The APC mobilisation included Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and other senior party figures.
Reacting to Oyetola’s post on X, Davido wrote: “If you like gather Jesus’ 12 disciples, o ma LULE for the 3rd time!!!!!”
The remark was a reference to the political contest involving the Adeleke family and the APC in Osun State.
Davido, who is Adeleke’s nephew, has repeatedly expressed support for his uncle’s political campaign and criticised the APC’s activities in the state.
His latest comment has generated reactions online, with supporters of both camps exchanging arguments as the election draws closer.
The Osun governorship election is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, with Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party and APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji among the major contenders.
